got my first question here. The following is the problem. When I start up my laptop, I sometimes cant start it up. Other times, it starts up, but the screen goes instead of my normal 1920x1080, towards, it seems like, 800x640. And it says the following:
[ok] created slice User Slice of gdm
Starting User Manager for UID 122
[ok] Started Session c1 of user gdm
[ok] Started User Manager for UID 122
And then, after a while, it starts up. I bet it has to do with the non-starts what I get sometimes.
I have the following setup:
Ubuntu 18.04
Acer Aspire 5742G
Intel I3-370M processor,
ATI Moility Radeon HD 5470
internet connector (may be handy): Acer Nplify 802.11 b/g/n
I hope this is enough for a solve. Thanks in advance,
Frank.

Update in the form: Use the Software Updater app on the PC with the latest Ubuntu Base. And some other stuff like a new browser version and a new LibreOffice update.
