Initially I couldn't install any apps either via softwarecenter or terminal getting the error

Fixed it by following askbuntu
Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/) is another process using it?



and I set secure boot, seemed to help with updating all drivers.



Now I can install apps via software center. Librecad worked and Gnome-music worked.
I rebooted and installed freecad and Ubuntu tweak these install and run, but they do not show on my app screen. they do show in softwarecenter as installed. How do I fix this?
