Polska Cerekiew [ˈpɔlska t͡sɛˈrɛkʲɛf], in German Groß Neukirch, is a village in Kędzierzyn-Koźle County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Polska Cerekiew.[1] It lies approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) south of Kędzierzyn-Koźle and 51 km (32 mi) south of the regional capital Opole.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany, becoming part of Poland under the Territorial changes of Poland after World War II. A German minority remains in the town.
The village has a population of 1,429.
