How can I tell if my Ubuntu is hacked or been compromised? I'm starting to think it is because I keep overhearing my neighbors talked about something I just posted on a site. They've said many details that matches what I just wrote and I was weirded out. Next, my sister came to me saying something about how I should stop something and that she was worried. She wasn't at home when I used my laptop. I even locked the door so no one can take a peek at what I'm doing.

Is there any way I could see signs of hacking or snooping on my laptop? Like typing a few commands on a terminal but more revealing, for a lack of better word? I only know dmesg, who and last/lastlog and would wish for more commands or packages that would help me know what happened here?

  • It's a site that no one even knows I post it, it's very hard to find so it bothered since I've been posting there for a long time until my neighbor talked about it. No one even knows I post there.
