I recently installed Ubuntu Budgie 19.04, and I'm not sure if this is specific to Budgie, but I love everything about this Ubuntu flavor except for this one thing. I enabled experimental HiDPI scaling because I have a 1080p laptop screen, so 100% scaling is way too small and 200% is way too big, so I used 125% and it looks good.

The problem is if I let the laptop sit and sleep, when it should just enter the lock screen it actually glitches out as if it's trying to find the right resolution. It's an infinite loop of switching from the password prompt to my lock screen image. This glitch is completely gone if I change to 100% scaling, so I know this is the culprit.

Another related issue is that for example if I try to go fullscreen in a YouTube video, the video will display in the top left corner with the rest of the screen black. Again, this is fixed by changing to 100% scaling.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I can usually troubleshoot issues from the forums but no one seems to have asked this question, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
