I am creating an Ubuntu AMI from ansible. Have taken an Ubuntu 18.10 image and installed ubuntu-desktop
on it using following task:
- name: Install Ubuntu UI
apt:
name: ubuntu-desktop
state: latest
become: true
But after creating a VM from this image, I cannot ping or SSH to the machine.
I confirmed this particular installation is creating issues by removing it and creating an image by running all the other tasks after which the VM works fine and I can SSH to the machine.
Do you experts find anything wrong with this? Do I need to setup anything else or restart any services after installing ubuntu-desktop?
I tried installing unity desktop also but resulted in same issue.
Thanks!
