I made a .desktop file for a few .jar files that I got off of various github pages. I assigned these apps a certain icon. These icons show up inside of the application menu in gnome shell. However, when I click on the app, it is as if gnome randomly assigns the instance created a random icon or sometimes no icon at all.

Information that may be useful:
1. Just did a fresh install of Ubuntu 19.04
2. Using Asus q325UA with 7th gen intel i7 cpu, 16 gb ram, 512 gb ssd.

P.S. Sorry if this doesn't make sense. This is my first time posting here. Let me know if there is any more useful information that I can provide. The first image has the app in question circled and the second image shows what happens once it is opened. The way I see it, it creates a new instance of the java file that is running and uses some icon selected by the system instead of the one I picked in the .desktop file. Otherwise is there some type of size problem that makes it do this?
