this is my first time to install ubuntu, it seems a lot of effort on a dell xps 15, but for the last 12 hours or so I seem to be making progress. First of all ubuntu wouldnt load for me it was stuck on a black screen and also on purple load screen. I then pressed e while hovering over ubuntu in the grub menu and then I changed some things in here, I ran ubuntu and it worked perfectly. However when I start ubuntu my changes are not saved and I am asking how can I make these changes permanent so that I don't have to update the grub every time I want to log into ubuntu. I have googled this question and scoured the first couple of google pages for solution and none have worked in my case.
Can someone please enlilghten me on how I can just make my grub changes permanent... Thank you very much in advance!
