The tallest building in the city is The 420 Building (formerly known as the Old National Bank Building). Completed in 1970, the building rises 248 feet (76 m) and 18 stories. The building stands as the 27th-tallest building in Indiana. The second-tallest skyscraper in the city is Fifth Third Center, which rises 226 feet (69 m).

Tallest building in Evansville since 1970. Formerly known as Old National Bank Building. Ceremonial groundbreaking took place on December 15, 1967, and foundation work started in early 1968.

Second tallest building in Evansville since 1981. Formerly known as the Citizens National Bank Building. Groundbreaking took place on April 23, 1980. On April 17, 1981, a crane cable snapped while lifting a 25-ton concrete column, causing it to fall to the ground, crushing a passing car, with both passengers suffering only minor injuries.
