grub splash command freezing computer during resume from suspend
Macbook Pro Retina with ubuntu 13.10 having trouble waking up from suspendCannot resume from suspend ubuntu 16.04 GnomeFails to resume from suspend in 16.10Resume from suspend doesn't workRebooting on wake-up from suspend on Dell 5510 with Xubuntu 16.04Ubuntu 17.10 boot issues on Dell XPS 15 9560, dual monitor, suspend/resumeBrightness on laptop MSI GT72VR in Ubuntu 18.04 with NVIDIA GTX 1060 Mobile doesn't workBlank screen after resume from suspend on 18.04 on HP Elitebook 850 G5 (Intel HD graphics)Dell XPS-15-9570, ubuntu 18.04.01 nvidia GTX 1050 Ti, not waking upBlack Screen after login Ubuntu 18.04 Nvidia 418
I have an issue resuming my computer if the splash command is present in the grub file under GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
The computer will send a signal to the monitor but there is no response. Ctrl+Alt+F# will initialize the display. Also num lock will not change the led on my keyboard leading me to believe the system is locked up. If I remove "splash" it works.
I have nvidia 1050 Ti gpu and the latest official nvidia drivers with nouveau completely disabled. I'm using Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS if it matters.
I am unsure if it is suspending to memory or disk.
Is it possible to set grub command line options to run only if resuming and other options if starting from power off?
