I installed nvidia driver by:



$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa
$ sudo apt-get install nvidia-390


But it looks like the driver isn't running properly:



$ nvidia-smi
NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.


I've checked the kernel module by lsmod | nvidia but failed to find it.



Here's the output for lshw and lspci, hoping it could help:
