I would try reinstalling from USB paying close attention to instructions and error messages. If the problem persists then boot Ubuntu Live USB and select "try Ubuntu before installing". Then install and run boot-repair from the Live USB.

I would try reinstalling from USB paying close attention to instructions and error messages. If the problem persists then boot Ubuntu Live USB and select "try Ubuntu before installing". Then install and run boot-repair from the Live USB.
