As of March 2018[update], six former lieutenant governors of Delaware are living, the oldest being Shien Biau Woo (in office 1985–1989, born 1937). The most recent death of a former lieutenant governor of Delaware was that of David P. Buckson (served 1957–1960, born 1920), who died on February 23, 2013. The most recently serving lieutenant governor to die was James D. McGinnis (served 1977–1981, born 1932) on February 24, 2009.
