Really Slow System After Suspend to Ram
wake up from suspend to ram problem4GB out of 8GB total reserved 64bit 12.04 whyComputer won't wake up after suspendUbuntu Black Screen on Resume-After-Lid-CloseUbuntu system Does not see ramHP Notebook 17-y020ca under XUbuntu 16.04 unable to resume from suspendSlow system after killing of an OOM processUbuntu 17.04 eats RAM after suspendUbuntu with AMD Topaz XT Radeon R7 does not wake up after suspendRAM usage and swap after wake from suspend - 16.04
I honestly don't even know where to start. I have been distro-hopping like crazy to see if I can find something that works out of the box with my system. My problem is, when I first boot on the system (it's a laptop), everything is AMAZING! But if it sits idle and suspends to ram or if I manually STR then when I wake the system, it is very very sluggish. Commands run very slow (mainly sudo commands). The odd part is, to my knowledge, cpu speed isn't slowed down. There is still plenty of RAM available. Closing and/or opening new programs or windows within a program is vastly slowed down (both programs that access the internet and programs that don't).

If anymore information is needed, feel free to ask. I'm a total noob to the linux world but I pick up on things very quickly so I promise that helping me won't be hard. I just need pointed in the right direction.
suspend ram memory-usage wakeup
New contributor
