I am trying to change my mac address in wlan and I followed this answer for that and also restarted my network sudo service networking restart
. But when I tried to connect to the network its creating a new wifi connection with the orginal mac address. I also tried with macchanger
but shows this issue.
sudo apt-get install macchanger
sudo service network-manager stop
sudo macchanger -A wlan0
sudo service network-manager start
[ERROR] Could not change MAC: interface up or insufficient
permissions: Too many open files in system
According to this answer macchanger doesn't work in 16.04
