He is also a visual artist, known for his exhibitions in Land Art, Earth Art and Environmental art.[2]

Weise's guitar style is fused with blues rock and jazz. He has performed at numerous blues and jazz festivals: 1992 9th Chicago Blues Festival (European Tour after Chicago) in Saint-Dizier, France, supporting the Chicago Blues Festival Band with the members Jerry McCain and Gary B.B. Colman.[19] 1993 12th Musiques de Jazz et d'Ailleurs in Amiens, France, supporting Buddy Guy.[20] 1996 30th Commemoration of the first Jimi Hendrix Experience Concert, with guest Noel Redding.[21][22] 1999 1st Nuit du Blues, Vic-sur-Cere, France, supporting the Acoustic Blues Summit Trio consisting of Matt "Guitar" Murphy, Joe Louis Walker and Billy Branch.[23] 1999 7th Jazz and Blues Festival Leognan, France.[24] 2008 5th Santa Maria Blues Festival, Azores.[25][26] 2009 7th Grosses Guitares Festival, Vaugneray, France.[27] 2010 9th Blues en VO Festival in Paris, supporting Joe Louis Walker.[28] 2012 4th Gardenstock Art and Music Festival, Dixon, IL, USA, a benefit concert for the Sinnissippi Centers.[29] 2012 5th Presqu'ile Blues Festival, Ambialet, France.[30] 2013 10th Hookrock Roots and Blues Festival, Diepenbeek, Belgium.[31] 2013 4th Unhate Festival in Paris, with band member Juma Sultan.[32] 2014 6th Gardenstock Art and Music Festival, Dixon, IL, USA, with band member Juma Sultan.[33][34][35] 2014 13th Blues on Broadbeach Festival, Australia.[36] 2017 6th and 2018 7th Mitchell Creek Rock 'N' Blues Fest, Australia.[37][38][39][40][41] 2018 52nd Goodna Jacaranda Festival, Brisbane, Australia.[42][43][44]

As a visual artist, Gerry Joe Weise has released Earth Art (2017), as a paperback book and as an ebook; and Land Art (2018) as an ebook.[45][46][47] Ludovic Gibsson wrote the introduction for Earth Art: “Earth Art, 70th Exhibition Celebration. This book is a celebration of the 70 exhibitions Weise has produced from 1982 to 2017, spanning 35 years in the international art world. It is a gateway to the understanding of the more difficult avenues of his art, through his own thoughts, analysis and influences. A witness to his style of Earth Art, which encompasses elements of Land Art, Installation Art, Environmental Art, Ephemeral Art and 'In Situ'. The several layers of meaning that often bewildered critics, who were unable to fathom his application of the Alter-modern, his diaspora, while using physics and philosophy".[48]
