at my new job I regularly have to take my laptop out of its docking station and put it back in.

I usually use i3wm instead of gnome, so I thought I should set up a script that deals with the constant changes.

My problem is with xrandr here.

xrandr, for some reason, doesn't recognize all the monitors, just one at "eDP1".

The monitors I want to control are the built-in one and two monitors connected at the docking station's DP1 and DP2 connectors. One of the external monitors is rotated by 90 degrees.

While I can't solve this I will use gnome, but I really want to go back to i3wm.

And another little issue I have - little in the sense of I think I won't have it anymore after my main issue is solved - is that no monitor will wake up after locking the computer, which is solved after I take the laptop out of its dock and put it back in.

If someone has any ideas or a solution for my issues I'd be really thankful.

at my new job I regularly have to take my laptop out of its docking station and put it back in.
