ive been using Ubuntu 16.04 since first semester of 2017 and never had a problem before, since this week i began experiencing a lot of problems with my keyboard, whenever i start the computer the keyboard starts malfunctioning, the most affected keys are in the row "asdfghjklñ", but also my Fn key is not working, neither does the right Shift key i use to cap my letters.
Here are a couple of examples:

  1. When i type the letters "a" and "s" sucessively, independent of the order, instead of writing "as" or "sa", the keyboard goes mad and writes this: "asas" or "asasaasasasa" or "asaasasasa" or "sasassassas", this also happens whenever i finish a word with any letter from the row "asdfg....etc", for example, instead of writing the phrase "as it is", something like this appears "aaas sit iss".

    1. Since Fn is not working, whenever i try to change tabs in my browser i cannot do so, neither can i chanage tabs inside the terminal or use the "options" key to e.g. paste a apassword or copy something, sisnce that key only works while pressing Fn

    2. I cannot write capital letters because right shift doessnt work.

Im currently on the lasasaassasasaast (that was supposed to be a "last") stage of writing my thesis, it's impossible to do so with this problem. I am afraid of updating to 18.04 blindly, i just want to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance for your help.
