AT3IONT3-I Boot from USBBoot from USB w/ Grub2… computer is useless right now… help!!!Remove Grub Loader from Mac - USB Thumbdrive installationBoot from USB option not avalible Ubuntu 14.10“USB HDD” option replaced by “ubuntu” in BIOS, now cannot use USB boot mediaCan I modify my existing x86-64 BIOS-based USB installation to also boot on a Mac?Unable to boot from usb - Apple Mac MiniBoot from USB if connected, else boot from Hard diskCan't Boot From DVD or USB Stick after Boot-RepairGrub message appears, but no boot (from USB)
I installed Ubuntu on my older macbook air. It worked for awhile, and then it started acting all buggy. Now I want to turn the machine into a generic chromebook. I have created the bootable USB stick (Cloudready from Neverware), but I can't get into the bios to change the boot order so it will boot from the usb. Something is wrong and BIOS won't come up for me. I have the error "missing operating system". I can get to a grub> prompt, but I don't know if I can do anything from there?? I am way way out of my league here. Totally clueless. I have read many questions and answers looking for info and/or resources but I have not seen anything to even help me get started. Any help is greatly appreciated.
