so I've got a tiny little Ubuntu machine set up, and I've got it running RetroArch just fine, but N64 emulation is struggling to stay at 100% speed. it's playable, but just a little jittery, which makes it hard to play when you need to move carefully. so I'm curious if there's a way to shut off the rest of the OS, so that it's just RetroArch running. I'm thinking that might free up just enough RAM so that the N64 emulation can run closer to full speed. dunno if it'll work, but I think it's worth trying.
