i configured postfix (local only) and using mail to send email via terminal, i can send emails and read them with Thunderbird from user A to user A@localhost. But that doesn't work for root@localhost.
Thunderbird is showing 0 emails for root@localhost
I even checked that no emails were queued for root. I can see the emails delivered to root via sudo mail command.
